The DMM Vertex technical ice axes are useful in a wide variety of terrain, with enough curve for accurate swings and clearance over ice bulges, whilst still being straight enough to use on less steep ground and plunging into snow.
The Vertex is available in two lengths and comes with modular picks and a sliding finger rest, making for a great all-round technical mountaineering tool.
DMM Vertex Sliding Rest - Easily adjustable with a flick-lock lever mechanism that twists when open to tighten, the Sliding Rest can be positioned at any height on the shaft without a tool. When positioned out of the way at the top, the ice axe may be used freely in walking position. The Vertex comes as standard with one of these rests
